Mark your calendars for this year’s Red Mass, which will be celebrated on October 18, 2018 at 5:15 PM at St. Joseph’s Cathedral in Manchester NH. The homilist will be Rev. Patrick Conroy SJ. The Mass will be followed by a dinner in the Cathedral Church Hall (watch for more info on dinner tickets in a forthcoming post).
The Catholic Lawyers Guild of New Hampshire seeks nominations for the 2018 Saint Thomas More Award. The award honors a lawyer or judge who is a practicing Catholic and who embodies the spirit of Saint Thomas More in his or her courage, dedication, integrity, civility, and compassion toward others. The award will be presented at a dinner following the annual Red Mass on October 18, 2018 at 5:15 p.m. at Saint Joseph Cathedral in Manchester, and the homilist will be Reverend Patrick J. Conroy, S.J., Chaplain of the United States House of Representatives. Nomination letters should include a description of the contributions made by the nominee and be sent by August 24 to Attorney Brian Quirk at [email protected] or P.O. Box 1318, Concord, NH 03302-1318.

Register today for this important CLE hosted by the Guild on “Understanding Human Trafficking . . . and What You Can Do to Help” on Friday, April 13, 2018 from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm (2.5 hours of New Hampshire CLE general credits) at the Saint Pius X Parish Center in Manchester. Hear from experienced speakers on the scope of human trafficking in New Hampshire, the applicable laws, and the signs that an individual (including a client) is a victim of human trafficking. Bishop Peter Libasci invites all to attend this year’s Diocese of Manchester Red Mass, which will be celebrated on Thursday, October 26 at 5:15 PM at St Joseph Cathedral, Manchester NH (the Cathedral is located at the corner of Pine and Lowell Streets in Manchester). The guest homilist will be Bishop Mark O’Connell JCD, Auxiliary Bishop of the Archdiocese of Boston.
Immediately following the Mass, the Catholic Lawyers Guild will host a reception at the offices of Devine Millimet, 111 Amherst St. (across the park from the Cathedral).
Immediately before the Mass, the Guild also will be sponsoring a free Continuing Legal Education session from 3:15 -4:45 PM in the Cathedral Hall. Attorney Mark Attorri of Devine Millimet will present a lecture on the Trial of Galileo. The program offers 1.5 hours of CLE credit.
